We had two van moose tours, which consisted of eight people and one dog. The group had a chance to see six medium sized moose including; two bull moose and one cow moose. Also, on the outdoor adventure the group got to see three deer and two rabbits. It was a great chance for them to see the wildlife in Maine.

<georss:box>45.3846395 -69.671213 45.473786499999996 -69.513285</georss:box>

For The Love of Nature!

Moosehead Lake is a great place to be in the summer. People come from all over to spend a nice week or two on Moosehead during the summer. To most, Moosehead Lake is the perfect summer retreat to get away from their hectic city lives and just relax. What could be more relaxing than a nighttime canoe ride on a peaceful pond watching Maine wildlife at it's best. During our canoe rides you get a chance to witness moose swimming and feeding in the ponds, deer taking a refreshing drink from the ponds, and loons singing their peaceful tune. Just a few reasons to book a moose tour with us this summer and experience Maine at its best.

Beautiful Night To See Some Moose

Wednesday night was a beautiful and warm night to take a peaceful canoe ride to see some wildlife. We had a couple from Walpole, MA take a nighttime canoe moose safari with us. The couple got to see a total of five moose including; a bull, three cows, and one yearling. The night was a buggy one, but that proved to be a good thing since it brought plenty on moose out. The couple also got to see an array of other beautiful Maine wildlife including two deer, four hare, and loons. The couple have been coming up to Maine for the past few years for outdoor based vacations and trying to sneak a peak of moose whenever they can. This year on vacation, the couple decided a nighttime canoe ride to sight moose would be a change of scenery, and we were pleased they picked Northeast Guide Service to take them. With a relaxing canoe ride and ample wildlife, the couple decided they're coming back in October to get another fix of moose sightings.

Come For A Moose Tour in Maine!

The Moosehead Lake Region is a fantastic place to get the opportunity to see moose in their natural environment. We had a couple from New York join us last night on a private moose tour for the husband's birthday. They went on an evening canoe tour, even though it was rainy it was a great day to see moose! There was a wide variety of animals around, including 5 moose, four of which were cows, along with one calf. There were also sightings of deer, loons and hare. It was a great evening to be out on a moose safari, everyone had a great time. If you want to see moose in their natural environment, join Northeast Guide Service & Maine Moose Watching Tours and we will take you to all of the best moose haunts.

School's Coming To An End!

With school coming to a close for the summer it's time to start planning your vacation! The next few days are typically when the moose are giving birth to their calves, this is a great time to come on a moose safari and to see the very pregnant cows as well as the cows with their brand new calves, some only hours old! On Tuesday we had a fantastic moose safari. A couple from New York joined us on a canoe tour and we saw an amazing amount of moose. We saw 11 in total. We saw 5 bull, 5 cows and a yearling. We also saw deer, loons and hare. It was quite an adventure, everywhere we looked there was wildlife. It was especially fascinating to see a mother and her calf interacting. It was a great way to spend the evening. As this week goes on more and more newborn calves should be emerging to greet the world for the first time. Come join Northeast Guide Service and experience this for yourself!

Moose, Moose, and More Moose!

Yesterday we had an exciting day full of moose safaris. The couples joined us on a nighttime bus ride. While on the tour, they couples got to see five moose including one bull, three cows, and one yearling. Along with some moose, the couples got to see some other great wildlife that Maine has to offer; five deer, two loons, and a hare. The couple also spotted four beaver dams. Larry was also taken to two beaver dams and was able to get up close to both dams, it was the cherry on top of the safari.

South African Safari? Not quite, but Moose Safari for sure!

Moose Safaris are now in full swing! Yesterday we went on a moose safari with a couple from Massechusetts who were in Maine for their sons college graduation. They loved their safari in South Africa and wanted to experience one in Maine as well! They even brought their safari hats! What's a better way to experience Maine than to get outdoors and go look for wildlife? It was a beautiful night for a moose safari, it was a very clear and calm evening. The sunset was unbelievable! We saw four moose, three deer, and a loon! It was an exciting evening and a great preview for what the season is going to entail!

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;
