Rainy Days Are Bringing Out The Moose!

On Thursday night we had eight people join us for a moose safari. The weather was humid, but wet and rainy. The group was eager to see moose...always the best spirit to be in on our moose tours. While on their tour, the group saw six moose! four on the pond and two on the road side! The group also got to see deer, loons, hares, and four foxes! The group definitely got what they were looking for, an abundance of moose sightings!

Sunday, July 22nd, we had a group of 8 go on a moose safari with Northeast Guide Service. The group was made up of two families of four. The weather was nice and sunny so it was the perfect night for a moose safari. The group got to see a total of three moose; two on the way to the pond, and one while canoeing on the pond. During their tour, the group also go to see some other great wildlife Maine has to offer such as deer, loons, and even an owl scooping up a field mouse. With sunny weather and plenty of wildlife sighting it was another successful moose safari.

Rainy Night and A Lot of Wildlife

On Tuesday night, we had a pair of couple take an evening moose safari. The weather was rainy and wet, but that doesnt stop us from having a good time. The couple got to see a cow moose, two deer, and multiple hares. The couples said watching the cow swim across the pond was the cherry on top of the night. Even though it was a rainy night the couples still had alot of fun on the tour

The Moosehead Lake Region is a fantastic place to get the opportunity to see moose in their natural environment. We had a couple from New York join us last night on a private moose tour for the husband's birthday. They went on an evening canoe tour, even though it was rainy it was a great day to see moose! There was a wide variety of animals around, including 5 moose, four of which were cows, along with one calf. There were also sightings of deer, loons and hare. Great Weather Makes For A Great Moose Tour

On May 19th, we had a young couple take a evening moose safari with us. The weather made for a perfect moose watching night. The couple got to see three moose including one bull and two cows. The couple also got to witness other great wildlife that Maine has to offer. We saw several deer and hares.
