Vacations in Northeast

One of the trips that we can provide for you is a moose safari! Today we had a couple from New Jersey come with us on our adventure. We took them canoeing around an quiet pond to watch moose eating on the shore and in the water! We saw 3 moose-1 bull and 2 cows- and got to listen to the loons swimming around us. Last Minute Vacations

Today we took to the north Maine woods to go on a wildlife adventure! We had a trip going out with Northeast Guide Service on a moose safari. About half an our before we left a couple came in and actually decided to join us on our scheduled trip! Our tours are a great last minute plan if you want to add some adventure to your day. We saw 6 moose on our tour- a bull, 3 cows, a yearling, and a tiny calf! We watched a mother and her calf eating in a bog. We think that they calf must have been born only a couple weeks ago! We also saw 2 deer and a raccoon while canoeing around a secluded pond. Kate from our trip claimed to be a jinx when it came to seeing moose, but we think that we broke the curse!

The Long Search is Finally Over!

Today we took to the north Maine woods with a couple from Illinois. This couple was excited to come on our moose safari because they were itching to see a moose. They had searched Montana, Canada, Alaska, and never saw one! They came here to Northeast Guide Service and we took them out to the pond on our canoes. The weather was calm and we saw a moose, a deer, 2 loons, a hare, a fox, and a duck with her ducklings. We're glad that we could finally show them a moose!

The Yearlings are here!

Today we set off into the north Maine woods to go on a van moose tour. We had two sisters visiting - one from Ohio and the other from Florida. It was a beautiful night in Greenville, finally in the 70's! We saw 7 moose on our tour today; 6 yearlings and 1 cow.
We even got to see the cow and a yearling feeding on the pond. Lots of the moose were drinking on the roadways, we all thought that it was funny how thirsty they seemed! We saw a turtle in the roadway (which Marilyn made sure to move out of the way), a fox eating something, 3 deer, and a hare.


It was an amazing night! We hope that they had fun on their trip with northeast guide service!

The Baby Ducklings

Today we took to the north Maine woods for our moose safari adventure. We left with two couples from Scotland and Kansas. It was a cloudy day so the moose were happy to come out to the pond to eat.


We saw 3 moose; 1 big cow and two yearlings. We also saw a deer on the pond, a loon, a hare, and a family of ducks.


The female duck was with her 8 baby ducklings swimming around the pond. It was an amazing night full of wonderful wildlife! We hope that everyone had a great night with northeast guiding service!

The Back Roads

This morning we left from the Northeast Guide Service base bright and early in the morning! The weather was calm and perfect for a trip into the north Maine woods. We had a couple from Florida visiting us. They were eager to see a moose! When we got to the pond we watched a small cow feeding. The roads were rough coming out of the pond today. We got a flat tire, but we fixed it and kept moving! We hope that the could had a great time on our moose safari.

Picture Perfect Moose Safari

Today we took to the north Maine woods with a wildlife photographer. We set off for our moose tour from the Northeast Guide Service base under a clear blue sky. It was definitely a perfect night for moose photography since we got to watch 11 different moose! One of the scenes was perfect- two cows feeding together with the sun setting in the background behind the mountains. I really hope that our customer got the picture that he was hoping for!

Finally Feels like Summer

Today we took to the north Maine woods with a couple from the city. It was a beautiful morning when we left Northeast Guide Service Base. It was sunny, calm, and definitely felt like summer! We saw 3 moose, 2 white-tail deer, a hare, and lots of ducks.
It was a leisurely moose tour since we were able to watch a cow eating right from shore. I hope that they had a great time with us in the outdoors!

Moose Watching - Up Close!

Today we took to the north Maine woods with a lovely couple from Florida. The weather was calm when we left Northeast Guide Service base. We spotted 4 moose, 2 loons, and 3 hare on our moose safari today.
We were all very excited to be able to sit on the shore of the pond and watch a moose walk right by us! She didn't even notice us. It was an amazing night to spend with this couple, and we hope that they visit again!

Moose in the Back Roads

Today was a calm, gorgeous day in the north Maine woods. We set off on our moose safari with 3 couples and a mom in our group. Today we got to see lots of wildlife on the pond, and even quite a few moose showing off on the dirt roads.
We spotted 7 moose-including a bull and a yearling- and 2 deer. It was an amazing night for northeast guide service. We had a great time with this group, and hope that they come back soon!

Visit to the Beaver Dam

Today we took to the north Maine woods with two honeymooners. We were thrilled that they chose Northeast Guide Service for their vacation! We left early in the morning and saw a cow, two loons, and a hare.
On the moose safari we also decided to visit the beaver dam. It was giant, over 2 feet long! We hope that the couple had a good time exploring nature with us.

First Safari in June

We took to the northern Maine woods this evening to begin our canoe journey.
We had a good sized group - a wonderful family of 6 from Arizona, and a couple from Germany.
When we left Northeast Guide Service base, the weather was windy and overcast. The moose safari was a great success since we got to see 8 moose! 7 were cows, and 1 was a bull. We also got to see 2 deer and plenty of hares.
Even though the weather was what the family from Arizona described as "winter," we had a blast being able to interact with so much wildlife. We hope that the couple from Germany enjoy their 4 week vacation in the states!

B52 Site

Today we did a private moose safari with a couple from Florida.

We decided to go to the B52 site in the north Maine woods. It was an amazing sunny afternoon in the 70's, but the bugs were really heavy! Thankfully they drove the moose out. We spotted five moose on this evenings private Maine moose safari! Three were bulls and two were cows. We also got to see a deer and four hares in the trails. On our way back to the Northeast Guide Service base we had to be careful of moose in the roads!


It was an amazing afternoon and I had an amazing time with the group!

A Whole Lotta Moose

There was a lot of variety in our group as we took to the north Maine woods. Not only did we have people from the UK, Missouri, and Holland, but we also had a variety of ages!

Our trip stuck to this theme with the abundance and kinds of wildlife we saw. This truly was a moose safari with a total of nine moose spotted! Three were cows, one was a bull, and they varied from big to small. We also saw four deer, two loons, six hares, and a fox! The moose were so abundant that one held us up in the road for 20 minutes. All in all it was an amazing sunny evening to spend outside with Northeast Guide Service.


Mating Calls


We took to the woods to set off on our moose safari adventure! We had a fun group with us. Four people were from New York and had outdoors experience rafting. The other two were a young couple from Massachusetts. Northeast Guide Service spotted two adult cow moose , three deer, and three loons. We thought that the loons were courting from the way they were swimming and singing! We had a lot of fun watching them from the pond. What a fantastic way to spend the morning in the north Maine woods!

Couple's Retreat

This afternoon we took to the Maine woods for a canoe moose safari. We had two married couples with us, as well as a brother and sister. They were a great group! Everyone had a fun time and we took lots of group photos. We got to see a small cow by a stream in the woods and three hares.


We had a fantastic time with these couples and hope that they visit again at Northeast Guide Service.

A Large Group from All Over

Today we left for a van moose safari with a packed group! We had 11 people with us, so we knew that it'd be an enthusiastic and fun trip. We left a little late from Northeast Guide Center, but we still had lots of luck in spotting some wildlife. We saw four moose, deer, and even a couple hares! It was a great trip. We hope that everyone had a fantastic time seeing the north Maine woods!

An Early Morning Moose Safari

Today we took to the north Maine woods early on a misty morning. We saw Four moose total, three of which we large bulls. When we arrived at the pond we saw some moose feeding at our entrance. We were happy to be able to see so much from right on shore!

During our moose safari canoe tour we spotted the forth moose, a cow this time, and a dear. We finished off the tour with a spotting of two loons. Northeast guide service was successful again! We had an amazing time with this couple from Tampa Florida. We hope that they come back to visit us soon!

A long way from home



Today was exciting because we had people from New York and Switzerland! It was a rainy afternoon, but we carried on and made our way to the pond.
It was worth the trip when we got to watch a moose feed for over 20 minutes! We had plenty of time to take lots of pictures and see what the moose are like in the wild north Maine woods.We also got to see some fox and hear and watch loons on the pond.
The thunder and lightening held off until we were on our way back to the Northeast Guide Service center. It was fun getting to know people that traveled from far away too see our moose safari!

Thunder Storm Safari


Today we had a lovely family from Texas on an afternoon tour in the north Maine woods. The thunder and lightening were intense, but the moose didn't mind. It was the perfect weather to do the moose safari by van. We were thrilled to see four moose! We spotted one bull, two cows, and a yearling. Some other wildlife that the northeast guide pointed out were a fox and a hare. It was an excellent way to enjoy both nature and the thunder storm!
